Meet the team

As Managing Director Lee strengthens the team at Hedley bringing a diverse background and wealth of experience in Supply Chain, Commercial and Customer Services. He will support the fantastic team at Hedley deliver customer projects and sponsor the drive for innovation that Hedley Hydraulics are known for.

Shahbaz is a qualified mechanical engineer with a wealth of experience in technical design of hydraulic and engineering projects.  He works closely with customers, suppliers and management, sales and our workshop teams and he takes our customers brief and using 3D Solid Works converts 2 dimensional drawings into 3D so that our customers can visualise the finished product.

Being part of Hedley Hydraulics for over 12 years, Julia gets creative with the Hedley Hydraulics’ marketing initiatives. She manages and creates content across our social media platforms, driving engagement with the Hedley brand. In addition to leading email marketing campaigns, Julia administers our company website, oversees print materials, and analyses performance metrics. Beyond the office, Julia enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and running.

With a decade of experience in mechanical aviation and nine years in injection moulding and mechanical engineering, Chris brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Design Engineer at Hedley Hydraulics. He leads mechanical design projects and oversees project management, ensuring precision and innovation in every task. Outside of work, Chris indulges in woodworking projects and model making using 3D printing technology, reflecting his passion for craftsmanship and design.

Aira brings a diverse background to her role in internal sales at Hedley Hydraulics. She has four years of experience in administration and logistics for a wholesale company, and three and a half years in sales and hire within the asbestos and construction industry. For the past two and a half years, Aira has been an integral part of our team, handling customer inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring smooth procurement processes. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and traveling.

With a rich background spanning 17 years in customer service and key account roles within the sports and textile industries, Hollie brings a wealth of experience to her position at Hedley Hydraulics. In her role, she efficiently manages tasks such as raising quotes and orders, addressing general enquiries, and overseeing procurement processes, such as sending orders, receiving acknowledgements, and updating date changes. Outside of work, Hollie enjoys spending time with her partner, Jamie, and her family. She is an animal lover and has a horse, dog, and a rabbit.

Emily joined the Hedley Hydraulics team in January 2025, bringing with her nine years of experience in similar roles, so she hit the ground running from day one.

What sets Emily apart is her ability to communicate with absolutely anyone. Whether she’s talking with engineers on the tools or directors in the boardroom, she has a natural knack for making people feel heard and at ease. That, paired with the positive energy she brings into the office every day, has already made her a firm favourite with the team.

Outside of work, Emily is a self-confessed house music enthusiast, a part-time raver who’s made more than a few pilgrimages to Ibiza. When she’s not on a dancefloor somewhere, you’ll find her travelling to new destinations, experimenting in the kitchen, or being bossed around by Queenie, her beloved dog and full-time boss.

Luiza brings extensive financial expertise to her role as Accounts Administrator at Hedley Hydraulics. With nine years in a geodetic company handling accounts payroll and serving as deputy chief accountant, followed by two and a half years as an assistant management accountant in the oil industry with Socar, she has a solid foundation in financial management. At Hedley, Luiza is responsible for managing the sales ledger, purchase ledger, banking, credit control, nominal ledger, and expenses. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, attending fitness clubs, and traveling.

With 28 years of experience at Hytec South Africa (now Bosch Rexroth South Africa), Robbie brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as Technical Sales Manager at Hedley Hydraulics. In this position, he works closely with customers to understand technical requirements. Robbie’s responsibilities include maintaining and growing key customer relationships and ensuring long-term value and customer satisfaction. Outside of work, Robbie enjoys spending time with his family, playing hockey, and cycling.

John oversees the efficient operation of our Stores department, handling everything from the inspection and booking in of incoming goods to the picking and packing of outgoing items. His attention to detail helps keep everything running smoothly. John also takes on the important role of fire marshal, supporting our workplace safety efforts.  Outside of work, John enjoys unwinding with a good book.
