This project involved the design, manufacture, installation and optimisation of a hydraulic system providing the hydraulic forces to operate clamping functions on a friction stir welding machine which joins together precision panels for a high-profile automotive customer.
This was a bespoke turn-key solution, which Hedley Hydraulics have project managed and now provide on-going service and maintenance support. This allows the end-user to meet the demands of the automotive market and successfully keeps down-time to a minimum.
