Hydraulic Power Units
Hydraulic engineering is a science, but at Hedley we like to think it’s also an art form. Hydraulics is the technology of controlling pressurised fluids to create force and motion.
We design innovative hydraulic solutions of every size and use, for a range of clients, from the helicopter ‘Ship Simulation Deck landing pad’ to the London Royal Opera house and Gloucester swing bridge. We are capable of providing a full range of HPU’s, typically these are bespoke, designed and agreed on to your requirements. We use 2 and 3 Dimensional Solidworks 2011 to provide the layout and general arrangement drawings that will allow an understanding of what we plan to provide to you.

With extensive engineering expertise in motion and control systems, we select the most suitable and where possible innovative components for our customers across the UK and worldwide. Hedley partners with customers to improve their productivity and profitability. We work closely with you to produce a design brief, a system design and a solution that will suit your application. We have our own manufacturing facilities for system build and we take ownership of our designs, applying in house test procedures to ensure the product is ready for installation and use when it leaves our facilities. We have on site fabrication facilities, being able to assemble and weld hydraulic tanks to our exacting standards, with a variety of materials including carbon and stainless steel. We keep control of the manufacturing process, providing peace of mind that all elements are being taken care of at our end.
A key part to a trouble free hydraulic system is a well planned and professional installation. We install all systems and test rigs at our customers locations, having control and ownership from ‘system design’ to ‘switch on’ - it’s an important consideration, you need to be sure you get what you asked for! Coupled with our installation we are able to supply all types of pipework whether welded, compression or hosed in the material to suit your application. The latest techniques in cleaning and fluid monitoring are employed. An electrical control and installation service is also offered to complete the system integration into your operational facilities.
