Established in 1976 as Hedley Hydraulics, the company started out as a system and component supplier to the UK steelwork industry and machine tool manufacturers.
The last 30 years have seen major changes across both industry and technology which have meant exciting times for Hedley. We've always been an innovative company, adapting and evolving to the needs of our customers and this is reflected in the diverse range of projects we've worked on. These have included a helicopter "Ship Simulation Deck landing pad" , the Gloucester swing bridge and the Royal Opera house hydraulic stage set.
In 2003 we launched our emergency National Hose Doctor Service , a 24/7 emergency mobile hose workshop. Hedley's Hose Doctor Service provides customers with a facility to call out an experienced Hose Engineer to get your machine up and running again, with the minimum of downtime, we aim to be with you within one hour.
In 2003 we also opened our additional Hedley ParkerStore depot in Gateshead , supplying hydraulic, pneumatic and filtration products direct to the public. This depot was such a success that in July 2008 we opened another depot in Manchester.
This is a globally-recognised certificate that demonstrates best practice in the application of quality management systems. Or, in other words, it shows that we care about our customers and the quality of our products.
To keep this accreditation we must constantly evaluate what we're doing and ask, 'how can we improve?' An ISO 9001:2000 management system should ensure that current and future customer expectation can be met and exceeded.
" Because we consistently invest in the latest technology we offer a quality service that's second to none. If you ever have a problem we'll always do everything we can to sort it out. Our pledge is never to lose a customer. "
